Program


School Calendar
The center offers a year round program. We are opened Monday to Friday between the hours of 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. However, we are closed on Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Day after Thanksgiving Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day and Independence Day. We are also closed the third week in August for one week for summer clean-up.

Notices, Newsletters, and Daily Papers
It is imperative that parents check their child's basket or can above their cubbies on a daily basis for pertinent information as well as your child's daily work. Notices will be put in our child's cubby. Take time out daily to compliment them on their work. Also, make definite plans to reinforce their learning skill at home. Make it a regular practice to check the bulletin board, clipboard, and door for any new information that might be posted as you daily sign your child in and out on the "Sign in/our" Sheet";

Meals
The center will provide breakfast three nutritious snacks daily. The center has lunch catered in daily. This is at an additional cost of $ 1.50 per day. Parents are provided with an updated monthly menu.

Lunches
Microwaveable Foods (Those not participating in the lunch Program)
Simple warm-ups of lunches are permissible if the following guidelines are used.
  1. Food must be in a microwaveable container or wrapped in clear plastic wrap or waxed paper. Tin foil is extremely harmful to a microwave over.
  2. Foods must be in a thawed state, not frozen, and require no more than two minutes of warming. ABSOLUTELY NO DESSERTS WILL BE HEATED!
  3. Please label all containers (lids and bottoms) with your child's name.
Parties:
We will be celebrating the following holidays with a small party: Harvest, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, and Easter.

Nap/Rest Time:
All children staying for the full day program must rest for approximately one to one and a half hours. Children enrolled in the part time program (A.M. or P.M.) staying for four hours or more rest approximately one half hour. This is a state requirement. The teacher will be there to encourage resting, and will sometimes play soft background music. Each children has a labeled mat. Please bring in a fitted crib sheet (standard size) and a small blanket, labeled with your child's name.

Clothing
Your child should wear comfortable play clothes, so designed that s/he can become independent in dressing and toilet habits. Make sure clothing is not too tight or difficult to unbutton or zip.
Clothing should be warm enough for the winter months, especially from the waist down since children will often play on the floor. Throughout the winter, boots large enough to be put on easily will be needed when the ground is damp. Also shoes should be comfortable and not dressy. (Preferably athletic shoes), so that your child can run and jump freely. (Please, no sandals or, jellies.) NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND, WITH THE EXCEPTION OF POST EARRINGS, IS PERMITTED AT THE CENTER. JEWELRY CAN BE VERY DANGEROUG AND HARMFUL TO YOUNG CHILDREN. ALL CLOTHING be marked with child's name. Coats, sweaters, boots, shoes, etc, must be labeled. We cannot be held responsible for missing clothing. Also, label any toy brought in on Show and Tell days.
